Fisherman get an extension of the Kisan Credit Card Scheme
L Murugan, Union Minister of State, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, stated that the Kisan Credit Card Scheme would be extended to fishermen in order to provide loans at low-interest rates. The minister addressed the 'Fishermen Convention,' organized by the Kerala Pradesh Fishermen Group at Munambam (Kochi) on 22 November 2021. He stated that the central government's commitment to fishermen was demonstrated in the creation of a separate department for Fisheries as well as the allocation of Rs. 20,000 crores to the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Campaign.
According to the MoS, "For the first time in independent India," Prime Minister Narendra Modi had sanctioned Rs. 20,000 crores for fishermen under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Project. He also stated that Rs. 7.5 crores has been earmarked by the government to establish integrated fishing villages with schools, health facilities, and other amenities. The MoS also announced that the fuel subsidy will be continued and stated that in Kerala, the Union government has approved Rs 246 crore to fishermen in the past five years. Murugan stated that India's government has the policy to develop all Indian fishing harbors.
Kisan Credit Card For Dairy Farmers
